Abstract:
The lands identified for disposal under the authority of the Baca Bill (2000) are included in this GIS database used in the Lake Havasu Field Office RMP (2007). Other GIS databases show the other lands identified for disposal in the RMP not covered by the Baca Bill. |

Metadata elements shown with blue text are defined in the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Elements shown with green text are defined in the ESRI Profile of the CSDGM. Elements shown with a green asterisk (*) will be automatically updated by ArcCatalog. ArcCatalog adds hints indicating which FGDC elements are mandatory; these are shown with gray text.
The lands identified for disposal under the authority of the Baca Bill (2000) are included in this GIS database used in the Lake Havasu Field Office RMP (2007). Other GIS databases show the other lands identified for disposal in the RMP not covered by the Baca Bill.
For regional analysis and display at 1:100,000. This dataset was prepared/acquired for use in the Lake Havasu Field Office Proposed Resource Management Plan/Final EIS process.
Dataset locally known as disposal_prevplans.shp. This dataset and other datasets in the Lake Havasu Field Office Geographic Information Database represent data for the BLM Lake Havasu Field Office.
publication date
This data should be used in conjunction with the Lake Havasu Field Office RMP of 2007. This data should not be used at a scale larger than 1:100,000. The data and corresponding attributes are only as accurate as the source maps from which they were obtained, and may vary depending on the data and method of acquisition. This data is suitable for regional planning, management decision support at intermediate scales (i.e. 1:100,000 or smaller), and cartographic purposes. The data is not suitable for analysis at scales larger than 1:100,000. If the Receiving Agency (RA) has modified the data in any way, they are obligated to describe the types of modifications they have performed on hardcopy maps utilizing the data. RA specifically agrees not to misrepresent LHFO datasets or to imply that any changes made were approved by BLM LHFO. No warranty is made by the BLM for use of the data for purposes not intended by BLM. This information may be updated without notification.

Data was reviewed for correct topological structure. Duplicate lines have been removed.
The dataset is considered complete for the RMP areas available for disposal revised from the previous plans in the Lake Havasu Field Office. The complete set of disposal lands includes this dataset along with new disposals (disposals_RMP.shp) and existing R&PP leases available for disposal (disposal_R&PP.shp).
Overall horizontal accuracy for this data is not greater than national mapping accuracy standards (NMAS) for USGS source maps. Snapping and coordinate shift tolerances were maintained at 0.01 meters or less through editing. Horizontal positional accuracy for the digital data set was tested by visual comparison of the source data with hard copy verification plots.
Estimate based on use of GCDB data.

The Yuma RMP disposal map was scanned, geoferenced, and screen digitized. Data from other plans came from maps, tables, and text in the Kingman RMP, Lower Gila North MFP, and Lower Gila South RMP. The data was updated from plan amendments. GCDB data was used to snap the data to the correct positions.

The DisposalAlt1 data was revised based on the Preferred Alternative and Alternative 4 in the Lake Havasu Draft RMP (2005) which removed some of the previously identified lands for disposal.

Ownership_adjust_alt4PA was updated based on comments received through the Draft RMP comment period. The revised shapefile was renamed ownership_adjust_altPA in order to separate it from Alternative 4.

Attribute items are in typical ArcInfo point, line and polygon format. The dataset includes boundaries for areas available for disposal within the Lake Havasu Field Office. The attributes include the Plan name that allocated the area, the number used on maps and tables, the type of disposal (surface and/or subsurface).
The disposal areas are shown as polygons. The Plan field gives the name of the authorizing plan. The Number field gives the number used on maps if available. The DISP (disposal), SURF (surface), and SUBS (subsurface) fields are check boxes to indicate selection.
